Lucy Liu is an American voice actress, producer and vocalist. She is an attractive, intelligent actress who inspires many Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. The early successes of her were boosted by her appearance on several popular television show. She played the villainous Ling Woo. She translated her unexpected fame into major screen roles in films including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Following that, she gave an her best performance in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime lord O Ren Ishii. Around the same time she was playing the lead role in a few box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on the small screen in Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that included Liu in multiple roles, helped her reestablish her as an actress. Liu chooses her roles with utmost care so that she doesn't get cast in an industry that is competitive. She is also a talented artist, who is not constrained by her race.
