Lee Roy Selmon has a tradition that blends family scholarship football with community service. He is the youngest child from Lucious Selmon and Jessie Semon. They raised him on the farm they owned in Eufala. Two, football. He was one of three brothers who participated in the football team of Oklahoma. The three brothers were all All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey was one of the starters for the entire 1973 season. Lee Roy received the Outland & Lombardi Awards for being the top lineman from the United States. During his three years as the starting quarterback for Oklahoma The Sooners recorded a 32-1-1 record and captured two national titles. In his role as an National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon received a scholarship for the third time in 1975. Selmon graduated with a degree from the university of California in Berkeley. Fourth service In the university Lee Roy devoted ten hours each week on volunteer work. After college he settled in Tampa playing nine years for the Buccaneers was all-pro three times and started a business career. In 1988, while working as an account liaison officer for First Florida Bank of Tampa He was a member of the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. In 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce recognized Lee Roy as being among 10 of America's most outstanding young males. Lee Roy stood 6-2 in the height department and weighed 256 lbs when he was a student athlete. He played for the team of 1975. In 1993, he was a part of his current position at University of South Florida as associate director of athletics. In 1988, Selmon was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. The same year, he also was a part of his way into the GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame as well as the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation gave its Distinguished American Award Mr. Lucious Sr. Henry Bellmon was the Oklahoma Governor, who awarded this award.
